Meet the Keynotes!
| Deputy Chief of Mission Ambassador Arun K. Singh, Arun K. Singh joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1979. His first assignment abroad was at the Embassy of India, Moscow from 1981-1982, where he learnt Russian. He then served at the Indian Missions in Addis Ababa as Second Secretary from 1982-1985, and in Tokyo as First Secretary from 1985 – 1988. On returning to Delhi at the Headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, he served as Deputy Secretary / Director dealing with East Asia and Pakistan Divisions from 1988-1991. From 1991-1993, he headed the Offices of the Foreign Secretary and the External Affairs Minister of India. Ambassador Singh served at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations Office, New York from 1993-1997 as Counsellor and handled multilateral social and economic negotiations. He served in the Indian Mission at Moscow again as Counsellor / Minister from 1997-2000. During his assignment in Delhi from 2000-2005, he served in the capacity of Joint Secretary dealing first with the United Nations Policy, and then Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran Divisions at the Ministry of External Affairs. Ambassador Singh served as Ambassador of India to Israel from April 2005 to September, 2008. He assumed his new assignment as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India, Washington D.C on October 9, 2008. |

Suneel Gupta, Product Guy, Groupon Suneel loves to build stuff from scratch. Prior to serving as Groupon's very first Vice President of Product Development, Suneel built widely-used products for Mozilla Labs, blogged for MTV, developed television concepts for Sony Pictures, led trade efforts in Ghana, wrote speeches in President Clinton's West Wing, and produced the Kahani Movement, an interactive film project with his brother, Dr. Sanjay Gupta (CNN). |

| Palak Patel, President of Production, Roth Films Palak Patel runs the film division for Joe Roth's company, Roth Films. Roth Films recently produced Alice in Wonderland directed by Tim Burton. They also produced Knight & Day starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. Patel is an Executive Producer on Snow White And The Huntsman which was released by Universal Pictures this summer. He is currently in post production on Oz: The Great And Powerful starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams, directed by Sam Raimi scheduled to be released in March 2013. He is in production on Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie for Disney scheduled to be released in March 2014. Patel is also producing Neverland for Sony Pictures which Gavin O’ Connor is directing, as well as Million Dollar Arm for Disney starring Jon Hamm. Patel oversees and supervises all film projects in development and production at Roth Films. Patel was President of Production at Paula Weinstein's Spring Creek Productions which had a first look deal with Warner Bros. Patel worked closely with Weinstein overseeing Monster-In-Law, Rumor Has It, Looney Tunes, Envy, Blood Diamond, andRecount directed by Jay Roach. |

Reggie was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year® for Greater Washington in 2010, selected as one of Washingtonian Magazine’s 100 Top Tech Titans in 2010 and 2011, and named a rising star of Washington by Forbes Magazine. MeetingNews has twice named him one of the 25 most influential people in the $250 billion dollar meetings industry along with the CEOs of Marriott, Hilton and Linkedin . In addition, Cvent was honored for the 2010 “Management Team of the Year” by the American Business Awards, and voted one of the “50 Best Places to Work” in Washington three years in a row by the Washington Business Journal. Reggie has been featured in over 100 articles in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Businessweek, USA Today, Forbes, and The Washington Post, and has appeared on ABC News, CBS News, NBC News and CNN. Reggie is Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Indian CEO High Tech Council (now the DC Chapter of TiE). He was also a member of TiE Global Board of Trustees for 4 years. n addition, Reggie was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to be Chairman of the Chief Information Officers Advisory Commission, and he has served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, Inova Healthcare System, and the DC Chamber of Commerce. Before Reggie started Cvent, he was a corporate lawyer at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman and was the President of the DC Chapter of the South Asian Bar Association. Reggie’s most exciting accomplishment was that he attended 7 straight National NetIP Conferences! |

Sam Pitroda, Iconic Inventor, Entrepreneur, Development Thinker, and Policy Shaper Sam Pitroda has spent over four decades in information and Communications Technology and related human and development initiatives. He is an internationally respected development thinker, policy maker, telecom inventor, and entrepreneur. Mr. Pitroda is currently Advisor to the Prime Minister of India on Public Information Infrastructure and Innovations and is Chairman of the Expert Committee on the use of ICT in Railways. He is also the Chairman of the Smart Grid Task Force set up under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. He has recently been appointed the founding commissioner of the United Nations Broadband Commission for Digital Development. Credited with having laid the foundation of India’s technology and telecommunications revolution in the 1980s, Mr. Pitroda helped bridge the global digital divide. He headed technology missions related to telecommunications, water, literacy, immunization, dairy, and oil seeds. He helped revolutionize India’s development policies and philosophies with a focus on access to technology as the key to social change. He holds close to 100 worldwide patents and has published and lectured widely in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. |

| Ashika Sachdev, Music Artist Chicago's very own Ashika Sachdev will be performing at this year's Gala! All it takes is one listen to fall in love with this Chicago artist as she starts making her mark in the music industry! In the past you might have seen this 17 year old singing at the Chicago Cubs game or taping a pilot episode for Nickelodeon TV, but these days she’s moving and shaking her music career! She was a Hollywood finalist for American Idol Season 10, as well as a Sears Centre performance finalist for the X Factor season 1. All 6 Judges: Randy, Jlo, Steven Tyler, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Cheryl Cole were left amazed by the powerful voice in the petite package. In the summer of 2012, Ashika traveled to Los Angeles to produce demos with famed producer duo, Midi Mafia. Also, in the summer of 2012, she teamed up with Chicago's #2 ranked b96 DJ, the one and only DJ Ruckiss. | ![]() |
