Victoria Lim is an award-winning journalist who set herself apart from the industry-norm almost two decades ago by maximizing video, audio, broadcast, print, online and social media platforms. Nicknamed the “Queen of Convergence” by the Poynter Institute, Victoria is a prototype 21st century storyteller, creatively utilizing every traditional and new media format to reach viewers and readers.

As a reporter/anchor for Bright House Sports Network, Lim's work garnered an Emmy nomination for her multi- platform project, “A Goal for Haiti: Pascal Millien’s story," which included a half- hour television special and exclusive online content. As the consumer investigative reporter for WFLA-TV, the Tampa Tribune and tbo.com, Victoria won an Emmy and Associated Press honors. She was named the 2006 Journalist of the Year by the Society of Professional Journalists.

The Juror Matrix: What Every Attorney Needs to Know about Those Who Decide Whether Your Client Wins or Loses

In preparing for trial it is critically important to not just review the facts, but also to understand the key-decision makers in the courtroom—the jury.  Based on years of extensive jury profiling research, you will be provided with tips and techniques on how to effectively present a case at trial to maximize your clients' chances for a successful verdict.  A series of strategies will be discussed in this seminar, enabling you with the tools necessary to achieve credibility and persuasiveness at trial.

  • Fine-tune your voir dire skills to better understand how to create your “ideal juror”
  • Get tips for fully developing and presenting a cohesive case theme from opening to closing arguments, including the presentation of witness examinations and the use of demonstrative evidence

WilliamHealy.png Mr. William J. Healy, Esq.

William Healy is the VP of DecisionQuest Chicago office and consults with lawyers concerning all aspects of litigation strategy and support. Bill received a J.D. From Georgetown University, is a licensed attorney in Illinois, and was an adjunct professor at DePaul University where he taught evidence. Bill was a trial attorney for many years and has tried over a hundred cases.


AnkurSrivastava.png Mr. Ankur Srivastava, Esq.

Ankur is a prosecutor specializing in public corruption and financial crimes cases at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he has been working for the past five years. Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Ankur was at the law firm Sidley Austin where he worked on products liability cases. Ankur is from the Chicago suburbs. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2002 and from Yale Law School in 2005. Ankur is a past president of the Indian American Bar Association of Chicago and is an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern Law School.

Sailesh focuses on intellectual property litigation with an emphasis in pharmaceutical and chemical patent litigation. Mr. Patel has significant experience representing pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman patent litigation. With a background in chemical engineering, Mr. Patel prepares and prosecutes patent applications. He also has experience with trademark, copyright and franchise litigation.


ManishMehta.png Mr. Manish Mehta, Esq.

Mr. Mehta's intellectual property law practice focuses on patent prosecution and litigation. He has substantial experience in rendering infringement and patentability opinions and drafting patent applications and in the mechanical and electromechanical fields. Mr. Mehta’s litigation experience includes all phases of the discovery process, including document collection, depositions, and witness preparation, Markman hearings, and pre-trial preparation. Mr. Mehta has represented clients from a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotive, ecommerce, chemical, and computer software and hardware. He was selected as a Rising Star in 2010 and 2011 by Illinois Super Lawyers, an organization that recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in Intellectual Property law.


NimitaParekh.png Ms. Nimita L. Parekh

Ms. Parekh’s practice focuses primarily in intellectual property litigation with an emphasis in the areas of trademarks, trade dress, patents, and internet-related matters. She represents clients in a wide range of industries, including fashion apparel and luxury goods, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, insurance and financial services, industrial products, and consumer goods. Ms. Parekh is engaged in all aspects of litigation including document collection, deposition and witness preparation, and trial preparation. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Parekh has expertise in connection with the protection of proprietary rights on the internet, having successfully handled domestic and foreign domain name disputes. She also regularly counsels clients in online brand protection and compliance matters for social media and user-generated content websites.
